Project Description
The Viejas Travel Center in Alpine, California, is a state-of-the-art facility with an expanded fuel forecourt and a thoughtfully designed 6,000-square-foot C-store. This was a collaborative design/build effort on tribal lands.
The large fuel forecourt includes 16 automobile fueling positions and dedicated fueling for medium—and full-size diesel trucks and RVs. The C-store has state-of-the-art amenities, including a grab-and-go food service area, a refrigerated cooler, a soda and cold drink beverage counter, a hot beverage counter, refrigerated merchandise displays, office space, restrooms, a storage room, and an IT room.
Western Pump was the project’s GC and self-performed the fuel system installation.

- Easy access from Willow Rd., clear site navigation, and directional signage
- Expanded fuel forecourt for automobiles and RVs with multi-product dispensers (MPDs) offering up to 5 different fuels
- 8 MPD automobile fueling canopy with 16 fueling positions (expandable to 12 MPDs)
- Dedicated fueling for medium and full-size diesel trucks and RVs with a 3-lane canopy and 4 diesel pumps
- One (1) 30,000 gallons tank for 87 octane regular unleaded
- One (1) 24,000 gallons tank for diesel X 6,000 gallons of diesel exhaust fluid (DEF)
- One (1) 12,000 gallons tank for 91 octane premium unleaded X 8,000 gallons of 110 octane racing fuel
