Western Pump completed Phase I of an underground storage tank (UST) replacement at the Dana Point Fuel Dock in Dana Point Marina. The project included the removal and installation of a fuel system and required extensive coordination, environmental compliance, and large-scale excavation within an active marina environment. The work was successfully completed in April 2026.

Project Details
- Removal of six (6) existing underground storage tanks, including gasoline, diesel, bio-diesel, and waste oil systems
- Installation of five (5) new double-wall USTs (up to 15,000 gallons each)
- Use of a 150 ft crane to safely remove and install tanks, enabling efficient execution in a constrained marina setting
- Excavation, shoring, and removal of over 2,100 tons of soil and existing site materials
- Installation of new underground fuel piping, vent systems, and electrical infrastructure
- Integration of a Veeder-Root TLS 450 Tank Monitoring System for advanced fuel management and leak detection
- Full site restoration including concrete, asphalt, curbs, and accessibility improvements
